Class 1 Laser Product Safety Validation

LSA specializes in complete safety certifications of laser enclosures, laser cabins, and laser booths. We will evaluate the laser product as an integrated system, assist in addressing any issues, and provide a detailed report that the installed system complies with ANSI/IEC Class 1 laser safety requirements, and protects personnel from all foreseeable laser radiation hazards. LSA has validated and certified hundreds of laser enclosures (with embedded Class 4 lasers) for a wide range of laser processes.  The key elements of LSA safety certifications include:

  • Ensuring enclosures are designed and fabricated to meet laser safety requirements.

  • Ensuring enclosure light integrity is achieved using bright-light tests, infrared viewers, and low-power test equipment

  • Testing all door/shutter switches to confirm they are set properly and achieve light integrity during the full operating cycle of the equipment

  • Verifying all equipment laser hazard  labeling is correct and meets ANSI/IEC labeling requirements

  • Ensuring all doors, shutters and openings into the Class 1 enclosure are safely designed and installed.

  • Utilizing detailed laser safety checklists to identify possible issues with your laser system that can be remedied to keep your laser safe throughout its equipment lifecycle..
